Locals worried as yet another car crash down their street

Local residents have been left worried and frustrated after another car crash was reported down their street on Tuesday.

According to reports, a car was travelling down the domestic street when it suddenly crashed into a resident’s parked car before slamming into a lamp post.

Many locals from Cheapside in Waltham have shared their worry that if crashes and collisions continue at this rate ‘someone is going to get killed.’

Some locals said they have noticed cars doing up to 70 mph down the 30 mph stretch of the road, which has differetiating speed limits never exeeding 60 mph.

One resident shared that they have had multiple cars rwitten off the the last few years as cars continuously crash from high speeds and reckless driving.

Attending the crash on Tuesday Humberside Police said: “Officers attended Cheapside in Waltham after two cars collided shortly before 10pm on Tuesday, 5 April.”

Cases of collisions have risen over the past few years, with a Lamborghini being written off in just one dramatic case.

Suggestions from locals include installing laybys to park their cars so those passing through do not crash and therefore recuse collisions.
