Tory MP suspended amid sexual harassment allegations
A Conservative MP has been suspended due to an investigation into his ‘conduct’.
MP David Warburton has been suspended for allegations of sexual harassment.
The claims are being investigated by the Parliaments Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme.
According to reports, a source told the BBC that three allegations of sexual harassment are being investigated.
Mr. Warburton has been an MP for Somerton and Frome.
The Sunday Times claimed that three women have complained about Mr. Warburton.
There have been other allegations against the MP, including drug use and failing to declare a £100,000 loan.
Mr. Warburton has reportedly not responded to a request to comment, from the BBC, on the allegations.
Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph the MP also apparently claimed that he had “Enormous amounts of defence”.
Mr. Warburton is chair of the parliamentary group on music, also reportedly part of the European scrutiny committee.
The conservative party is once again seeing allegations brought against its members.
