Curly’s Normanby 10K was welcomed back by all

Curly’s Normanby 10K was welcomed back by all!

The Normanby 10K, organised by Curly’s Athletes, was thoroughly welcomed back at the weekend.

The Normanby Hall 10k or the ‘Norman Bee’ known to some was back for it’s 6th year and hosted from the Normanby Hall Estate in North Lincolnshire.

The Covid safe event took place through lovely local villages with a finish in front of the main hall at Normanby.

Curly’s spokesperson said ‘a huge well done to everyone, who took part in The Normanby Hall 10k and a massive thank you to all the runners, team and volunteers who made it a fun and safe!

‘You all thoroughly deserve your cake and medal, and a big thank you to you all for supporting us through a difficult year for the events industry.’

David Robinson from Scunthorpe and District Running Club finished 2nd in the race with a new personal best of 33:15 – huge congratulations Dave!

Dave said: ‘it was a great event, the information sent out beforehand was very through and it was planned with the safety of the participants in mind.

‘The rolling start meant that there was no crowding and runners were quickly and efficiently set off and straight into their running stride. Marshals and support around the course was excellent.

‘For me it was great to be back racing. The chance to see other people and also to find out where the fitness levels were at. Weather conditions were perfect and the event seemed to go without any problems.’
