Will Grimsby and Cleethorpes have a white Christmas?

The Met Office has given its verdict on whether residents in North East Lincolnshire can expect a white Christmas this year.

Meteorologists have predicted that temperatures will drop below 0 degrees Celsius this week, reaching lows of at least -2.

As temperatures plummet North East Lincolnshire is set for frosty conditions.

While the Met has said that areas such as the Scottish Highlands are much more likely to see snow this Christmas than Lincolnshire, they have also said snow could land in Grimsby and Cleethorpes as early as this week.

The Met Office longer term forecast up until December 16 says: “There is reasonable confidence that temperatures will remain below average, and it looks like turning even colder from Wednesday.

“Showers will fall increasingly as snow in the north, even to lower levels at times with notable accumulations over the Scottish mountains.”
