By Tragedy as woman found dead in Grimsby flat
A woman has sadly been found deceased in a flat in Grimsby.
Police were first called to a property on Hainton Avenue at around 9.40pm on Thursday, November 24 after receiving reports of a concern for safety.
Humberside Police attended the address, where they discovered a woman’s body, and they are treating her death currently as unexplained.
A scene guard was set up around the Hainton Chambers flat while officers carry out lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
Ambulance crews and paramedics were also in attendance at the scene.
The scene guard was still in place on the morning of Saturday, November 26. In a statement, a spokesperson from Humberside Police said: “Officers were called to reports of a concern for safety of a woman at a property on Hainton Avenue, Grimsby, at around 9:40pm on Thursday, November 24.
“Upon attending, sadly it was discovered that a woman had died. Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.
“A scene guard remains in place at the address whilst officers carry out lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death. Anyone with information that would help with our enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting log 484 of 24 November.”
