By Community rallies together as hundreds search for missing dog
The local community has rallied together after a young dog went missing from Sonja Crest, Immingham two days ago.
Ten-month-old Koko jumped a fence for the first time on Saturday night after being spooked by a firework, presumably heading to Habrough from Immingham.
The Maltipoo is said to be good with other dogs but will run if approached as he has yet to be let off his lead when on walks.
Since the initial post of his disappearance, hundreds of people has shared the missing appeal to help bring him home.
Residents across Immingham and Habrough have been out day and night scouring every possible location to help bring the lost pup home.
One woman shared her extensive search to the Facebook group, writing: “Just had a search all round the church at Habrough and the village hall and the surrounding area. Also went into the Habrough Hotel grounds, quickly joined by a very nice security man, who helped me have a good look. Also bumped into a lovely lady and daughter who had come from Grimsby, they did quite an extensive walk. Unfortunately there are so many areas to hide. One person thanked those searching, stating: “So many people out looking for Koko this morning. Be proud, those of you out searching. You are beautiful.”
A Facebook group has also been created for locals to share the sightings and searches, with nearly 400 members now taking part in the effort.
