By Dahmer series hits Netflix record
The Netflix series ‘Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’ has become the second biggest English-language series of all time.
The series, which stars Evan Peters, documents the crimes and subsequent arrest of notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The ten-part series is largely told from the point of view of the victims.
As of last week viewers had racked up over 300m hours.
This means the series has surpassed Bridgerton, putting it behind Stranger Things 4 which is currently the most watched English-language series in one week.
Niecy Nash also stars in the series, alongside Richard Jenkins and Molly Ringwald.
Despite its success, the series has drawn widespread criticism and condemnation after the families of victims claimed they were not informed that the show was being made, and did not find out until it was released in full.
The series has also been criticised for a lack of historical accuracy.
