By Comedian Nick Cannon took to Instagram to announce he and LaNisha Cole had welcomed a baby girl named Onyx Ice Cole Cannon, vowing to ‘protect, provide, guide and love’ his new child as best he can.
Cole also shared a photo of the newborn on Instagram, captioning it simply with her name and birthdate, Sept. 14.

Cannon did not explicitly address any criticism of the number of children he has with different women in his Instagram post, but he did dismiss any negative comments directed at him.
“As we all know I am not easily triggered and have quite tough skin and have always been an open book but not everyone in my family has that same level of strength,” he wrote. “So I pray and ask others to please project all criticism and cynicism towards ME and not the loving and precious Mothers of my children.”
Cannon has stated that he is still involved in all of his children’s lives, despite the fact that he has several children with different women.
“Contrary to popular belief, I’m probably engaged throughout my children’s day, more often than the average adult can be,” he told Men’s Health in June. “If I’m not physically in the same city with my kids, I’m talking to them before they go to school via FaceTime and stuff. And then when I am in the same city, I’m driving my kids to school, like making sure I pick them up. All of those things”
Just weeks ago the actor announced that he is expecting his 11th child with Brittany Bell. And this follows the news that the father-of-nine is currently awaiting the birth of his tenth child with Abby De La Rosa due in October.
“I mean there’s probably gonna be more,” he said at the time.
