By The internet is losing it over a video of Harry Styles spitting at Chris Pine at the Don’t Worry Darling premiere on Monday. The clip has arguably become the most talked-about topic on Twitter from the premiere, with millions of views.
Don’t Worry Darling, directed by Olivia Wilde has built up a lot of excitement over the course of its production but it’s mainly due to the drama that has occurred behind the scenes with rumours that Florence Pugh was apparently unhappy with the environment on set and possible tension with the couple, Wilde and Styles. Shia LaBeouf reportedly was fired from the movie, and Jason Sudeikis served custody papers at Wilde’s live event.
One reporter even asked Olivia Wilde if there has “been a falling out” between her and Florence Pugh;
Wilde responded, “She’s amazing in the film and as for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, I mean, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute, I think it’s sufficiently well nourished.”
On Monday, the cast came together for the film’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival where the 28-year- old seemingly spits on his co-star’s lap in front of his girlfriend, Olivia Wilde.

In an effort to understand what happened, Twitter has come up with numerous theories, slow-motioned the clip, and viewed it from numerous camera angles.
“People thinking Harry Styles spat on Chris Pine is THE funniest development in this drama like the gift that keeps on giving,” one person wrote.
Another user said, “Years from now, people will ask each other “where were you the night Harry Styles spat on Chris Pine”
Fans have taken the conversation even further by pointing out that Harry became known as ‘the whale’ at his One Direction concerts for taking a gulp of water and then spitting it out at the crowd which he was also criticised for.
Another theory says that Styles didn’t spit on Pine, but that Pine just happened to look down at his lap at the same time Styles sat down, and spotted his potentially lost sunglasses.
