‘State-of-the-art’ Louth gym reopens with ‘top of the range kit’
A Louth gym has reopened following an extensive £300,000 refurbishment, equipped with state-of-the-art treadmills, bikes, and a range of free weights.
Meridian Leisure Centre run by Magna Vitae, where the gym is housed, has been completely redesigned and upgraded to have some of the best equipment. In association with East Lindsey District Council.
The gym is spread across two floors, the new equipment are some of the best treadmills, upright bikes, and power mill climbers with 25 different speeds. There is also a wide range of free weights and resistance items.
The premises also features a new multi-jungle series and synergy unit. With built-in TVs. You can also download a progress tracker on the gym’s app to stay up to date with your workouts. The project was completed in May.
The Trust’s Executive Director Aeneas Richardson said: “The world of fitness and health is ever-changing and as it does so, so do we. We are delighted to have moved forward with some of the latest equipment and techniques that you will find anywhere in the world.”
She added: “Meridian Leisure Centre is our biggest leisure venue, and now offers state-of-the-art equipment. It means that our members, users, and local community can experience the latest exercises and workouts using top of the range kit, helping to improve our local community’s health and well-being. So come along and give it a go!”
Councillor Graham Marsh, Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Partnerships, said: “The new world-class equipment and facilities on offer at the Meridian Leisure Centre come at an unprecedented time when the health of our residents is probably more important now than ever before. It has been a tough time for leisure facilities across the country coming out of the pandemic so this investment into the Meridian Leisure Centre will help not only greatly improve residents’ physical fitness but mental well-being as well.
