Total of 13 arrests for Nunsthorpe ‘firearms incident’ as Police attend Cabourne Road
In another development for the incident last week, police were seen attending an address in Grimsby earlier today, as part of ongoing enquiries.
There were multiple police vehicles present at a premises on Cabourne Road, Grimsby, and officers were seen entering the house and remaining in the area. A witness reported seeing marine units attending, reportedly carrying out searches.
In their updates statement, Humberside Police said:
“A warrant has been executed at an address on Cabourne Road, Grimsby, as part of our ongoing investigation into a firearms incident on Sutcliffe Avenue, Grimsby last week.
“Our teams are carrying out searches at the property and a police presence is likely to be situated for the remainder of the day. A man has been arrested and remains in our custody at this time whilst enquiries continue.
“A total of 13 people have been arrested so far in connection with the report and we continue to have officers in the area, both to carry out enquiries and to offer reassurance to the community.
“Anyone, that has not already spoken to us, is asked to call out non-emergency 101 line quoting log 407 of 6 July.

Two people were hospitalised following a the shooting at Grimsby’s Nunsthorpe estate on Wednesday evening, July 6.
Armed Response Officers responded before 7 pm on Wednesday, following reports of a “firearms incident”. The area remains cordoned off.
Humberside Police confirmed two people had been injured following the incident. There were two individuals taken to the hospital for treatment.
A force spokesman said: “Officers are in attendance at Sutcliffe Avenue, Grimsby, after being called to a reported firearms incident this evening (Wednesday, July 6).
“Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment on their injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening at this stage. A number of people have been arrested in connection with the incident and our investigations continue.
“Officers were quickly deployed and a cordon has been put in place to ensure the safety of those nearby.”
