Wanted serial burglar finally apprehended by Humberside Police
Humberside Police have provided an update following pleas to locate a wanted man regarding an incident on Monday 16 May.
In their statement they said:
“We can confirm that wanted man Gracian Karbowski has been located and arrested on suspicion of robbery.
“Officers carried out enquiries at a location on Farebrother Street, Grimsby, at around 3:35 pm yesterday (Monday 4 July), during which he was detained.
“He remains in our custody at this time whilst enquiries continue.”
Gracian Karbowski, 19, is wanted following four reported robberies in the Albion Street area of Grimsby on Monday 16 May.
Their original plea stated: “Can you help us find the wanted man 19-year-old Gracian Karbowski from Grimsby?
“Police are keen to speak to him following four reported robberies in the Albion Street area of Grimsby on Monday 16 May.
“If you have seen him or have any information that may assist our enquiries please call 101 quoting log 10 of 16 May.
“Alternatively, if you prefer to report information anonymously you can do so via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
In May, the second wanted man Andrei Chitu, 24, was apprehended following an armed standoff on Rutland Street.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that wanted man Andrei Chitu has been located and arrested on suspicion of robbery. Officers carried out enquiries at an address on Rutland Street this morning, Friday 20 May, during which he was detained. He remains in our custody at this time whilst enquiries continue.”
