Lindsey Lodge are inviting walkers to ‘glow’ in epic charity event 

Lindsey Lodge have opened their invitations for walkers to celebrate 30 years of the hospice whilst raising funds for an amazing cause. 

Earlier in June, Lindsey Lodge celebrated 30 years of crucial service for Scunthorpe residents by throwing a brilliant birthday bash. 

Whilst celebrations are still fresh, the hospice have announced their next charitable mission – an amazing, “iconic” walk which has proved incredibly successful in previous years. 

On Friday 9 September, Lindey Lodge are inviting you to participate in this year’s Glow Walk, coinciding with their 30-year anniversary celebrations. 

Lindsey Lodge Fundraising Manager Kirsty Walker said:  

“Our Glow Walk is one of the best loved mass participation events in our calendar, with over 450 people taking part last year, and as it’s our birthday year, we’re aiming for it to be even bigger and better than ever! 

“As well as our 10 mile route, we’ve introduced a shorter five mile route, to encourage as many people as possible to get involved and experience the very special atmosphere that the Glow Walk evening brings. 

“Whether it’s to walk in memory of a friend or loved one, a way of keeping fit, or simply to do something different with your friends on a Friday night – whatever the reason, you’ll be raising much-needed funds for Lindsey Lodge and helping us to ensure we’re here for another 30 years!” 

Lindsey Lodge have wonderful ambitions to raise a staggering £300k across several charitable events with the Glow Walk taking centre stage in September. 

Additionally, it is hoped that the Glow Walk will allow North Lincolnshire residents to band together, enjoy themselves, and raise money for a much-needed service! 

“As well as pre-event live music and a fun warm up, glow walkers are encouraged to literally light up the night with their outfits and accessories”, a spokesperson for the hospice added. 

Registration is now open for Lindsey Lodge’s fantastic Glow Walk. 

Entry is just £15 which includes a free T-shirt, a delicious slice of cake and a finisher’s medal for those who complete the event.
