By Toploader to headline at Docks Academy
Marking 25 years since their formation, the band Toploader will headline at Docks Academy on 22nd of October 2022.
The East Sussex band, best known for their hit single ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’, will be performing at the venue above Grimsby’s Docks Beers in the Autumn.
Toploader has sold more than two million albums and has gained a string of top 20 hits both in the UK and abroad over their 25 years performing together.
They’ve earned four Brit Award nominations, and have continued to win the hearts and minds of crowds up and down the country and further afield.
The band are excited to be on the road this summer and as well as festival appearances in the UK and Europe, they are eager to celebrate their landmark quarter-century anniversary at the venue, located on King Edward Street. On their Facebook page the band commented “We’ve been doing this for over 25 years now and this still makes us incredibly happy. Hopefully we’ll see some of your lovely, smiley faces at the show.”
Docks Academy Director Will Douglas commented ”Toploader’s ear worms are cemented into my growing up. Not least ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’, which made them into the household name they are today and was one of the songs in the soundtrack of my youth. It’s fantastic for our venue to have bands of this calibre playing at Docks Academy. I cannot wait to be in the audience for this gig.”
