Update after serious collision on Brereton Avenue

An incident took place yesterday where emergency services were seen on location.

Yesterday emergency services attended an incident on a street in Cleethorpes.

Police, firefighters, and paramedics were called to the incident, which led resulted in a road closure from the Brereton Avenue junction down to the Park Street mini-roundabout.

According to reports, three cars were significantly damaged.

In the cover image, damage can still be seen to the front of one vehicle.

A car had collided with another vehicle, which damaged two other stationary vehicles.

It is understood one person was taken to the hospital for treatment, with the injuries said to be non-life-threatening.

Humberside Police have released a statement regarding the incident yesterday:

“Officers were in attendance at a road traffic collision yesterday (Tuesday 17 May) on Brereton Avenue, Cleethorpes.

“We were called at 5:45 pm to reports that a car had collided with another which subsequently damaged two parked cars.

“One person was taken to hospital to receive treatment for serious but thankfully, non-life-threatening injuries.

“The road was reopened at 6:30 pm to allow traffic to flow freely.”
