A Spitfire flypast is set to feature during Scunthorpe’s Armed Forces Day this year.
Armed Forces Day will return on Saturday 18 June at Brumby Hall Sports Ground, Scunthorpe, packed with fun for all the family!
Entry to the event is FREE from 11am, closing at 4pm, a great chance to show support for the men and women who make up the armed forces community.
This year’s edition will celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and retrospectively 100 years of the Royal British Legion and 100 years of the Royal Artillery Association.
The free event will feature a wide variety of exciting entertainment throughout the day, such as a military parade, live music, a climbing wall, static displays and living history exhibitions, children’s entertainment and much more!
Furthermore, tasty food and drinks stalls will be scattered throughout the area ready to keep you refreshed.
Cllr Elaine Marper, Armed Forces Champion for North Lincolnshire Council said:
