Grimsby man in court after knife-point robbery
A man is set to appear in court today after he allegedly entered a business and threatened staff with a knife.
According to reports, at roughly 5 pm yesterday (27 April) a man entered a business on Stanley Street, Gtsimby.
Police were called after the man in question allegedly threatened shop staff with a knife before taking an undisclosed quantity of money.
Richard Garrison, of Rutland Street in Grimsby, will face Grimsby Magistrates Court today.
The 41-year-old is charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “A 41-year-old man is due in court today facing charges in relation to a reported robbery at a business on Stanley Street, Grimsby yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 27 April.
“Richard Garrison, of Rutland Street, Grimsby was arrested yesterday and charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
“He was remanded in custody overnight to appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court this morning.
“We were called shortly before 5 pm yesterday with reports that a man had entered a business and allegedly threatened a staff member with a knife before taking cash.”
