Emergency services at A16 after two-vehicle collision

Emergency services are currently attending an incident on the A16 following a collision between a Mercedes car and a motorcyclist.

The road between the Louth Road roundabout and the Tollbar roundabout in New Waltham is currently affected with the road currently closed off.

Emergency services, including Humberside Police, Humberside Fire and Rescue and East Midlands Ambulance Service are in attendance at the scene.

It is unknown if the motorcyclist or the driver sustained injuries.

Humberside Police said: “Emergency services are currently in attendance at two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A16 near New Waltham. It is reported that a motorcycle and a car were in collision between the Louth Road and Toll Bar roundabouts at around 1:50pm today (Monday 11 April). The motorcyclist is being treated for injuries.

“The road is currently closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible. If anyone has information regarding this incident, you can call us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 250.”
