Covid infections on the rise in North East Lincolnshire

North East Lincolnshire has seen an increase in Covid infections in the past week, with the borough recording 1208 new cases in the week ending 30 March.

This shows an increase of 152, or 14.4 per cent, from the previous week.

The case rate for the area now stands at 758 per 100,000, a number not seen since January following the surge in cases over the Christmas period.

As of 29 March, 123 patients were in hospitals across Northern Lincolnshire due to Covid.

However, between 29 March and 4 April, there have been 0 deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

This shows a decrease of 100 per cent on the previous seven days.
