By Motorists warned of delays on Humber Bridge
Commuters using the Humber Bridge have been warned to expect delays and queues ahead of ‘essential’ works.
Works are set to begin at 8pm this Friday, the 25th of March, and will finish at 3am on Monday the 28th of March.
During this time contractors will be carrying out maintenance works to the surface of the bridge.
A contraflow system is set to be in place, and the TAG lane will be closed.
Writing via social media, a spokesperson for the board said:
“From 8pm Friday 25th March to 3am Monday 28th March, we will be carrying out essential maintenance on the surfacing of the bridge.
“During this period, a contraflow will be in operation to protect the public and workforce, and the TAG lane will also be closed.
“Your journey may take longer than usual, so please allow more time.”
