Health Tree Foundation holds landmark photography competition

The Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLaG) is holding a landmark photography competition to brighten up their hospitals.

Photographers of any age from North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire and Goole can participate by sending in their images of recognisable, local landmarks.

The winners of the landmark photography competition will have their photos displayed in the trust’s hospitals, which includes Grimsby’s Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital and Scunthorpe General Hospital.

The competition was organised by The Health Tree Foundation, NLaG’s charitable funds and other associated charities.

The money raised from the competition will go towards their A&E appeal.

The appeal is raising funds for facilities such as mobile gaming units and interactive floors for younger patients, free mobile phone charging facilities, Sky Inside artificial skylight panels and screens which can be used as televisions or digital information screens.

They need to raise £35,000 per site to achieve all these goals and the landmark photography competition will help them with that.

A single submission is free, but the trust is hopeful that, for each photograph, people donate £5 to their JustGiving page.

One rule for the photography competition is that the images should not feature people, just landmarks.

Clare Woodard, charity manager, told NLaG: “We really want people to get behind our competition, which will raise funds for some fantastic new additions to our A&Es. I can’t wait to see your photos!”

Students are also being encouraged to take part in the landmark photography competition.

Photos can be emailed to healthtreephotos@outlook.com.

The closing date for the competition is Thursday 31 March 2022.

The Health Tree Foundation is also asking for donation for their Big Thank You Appeal, which gives people the opportunity to thank thousands of NHS workers across the region by donating as big or as little as they would like.
