Suspect arrested for Freeman Street burglaries
Humberside Police have reportedly arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of committing three Freeman Street burglaries.
On Tuesday 21 December, a Freeman Street property was burgled.
The incident reportedly took place at around 3:30am.
The following day, Wednesday 22 December, another two premises on Freeman Street, Grimsby were also suspected to be targeted by the same burglar.
He is currently being held in custody for the duration of the investigation.
A spokesperson for the police force reported: “A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following three incidents in the Grimsby area.
“On Tuesday 21 December 2021, at 03:30am, a commercial property on Freeman Street reported a burglary.
“Another two commercial properties, on Freeman Street, reported burglaries on Wednesday 22 December 2021.
“The man remains in our custody whilst enquiries are ongoing.”
On top of the arrest made last night, officers also arrested a man for breaching his CBO (criminal behaviour order) three times and for shop theft.
Another man was also dealt with regarding a public order offence.
The team have been praised for their fast response to the crimes.
