By Scunthorpe man wanted for assault and criminal damage
Humberside Police are searching a Scunthorpe man who is wanted for assault and criminal damage.
Officers would like to speak to 38-year-old Barry Whyte in connection with these incidents which reportedly took place on Bedford Way in Scunthorpe.
The incident took place in October this year.
They are now appealing to the public in order to find the suspected perpetrator quicker.
However, people are being asked not to approach Whyte if they see him.
Instead, they should contact the police immediately.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police reported: “We are continuing our searches to locate #wanted man, 38-year-old Barry Whyte, but are now asking for your help.
“We are looking to speak with Mr Whyte in connection with a reported assault and criminal damage on Bedford Way, Scunthorpe, in October of this year.
“If you know of his whereabouts or have any information that could assist us, contact our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 24 of 12 October 2021.
“Alternatively, if you wish to provide information anonymously, you can do so by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“We would ask members of the public not to approach Mr Whyte if they see him, but instead contact us immediately.”
