Grimsby weather forecast: What to expect in the first week of Winter

Storm Arwen ruined the weekend for many in the region with events cancelled and moved indoors amid freezing temperatures and high winds, but how are things looking this week?

Monday

The week starts off with a yellow ice warning for the region with temperatures near freezing point.

It will be a mostly dry and frosty start with cloud cover and wind picking up in the afternoon with rain expected in the evening.

Temperatures will reach a high of 4 C, however it will feel below freezing, so wrap up warm.

Tuesday

It will be a mild but rainy start of Tuesday before clearing up later in the day with gusty winds in the afternoon.

The rain is then expected to return in the evening.

It will feel much warmer with temperatures sitting at around 10 C and feeling 6 C.

Wednesday

It will be a drier day at the midpoint of the week with no rain but cloud cover all day.

Temperatures will be slightly down from Tuesday, with a high of 8 C, feeling like half of that at 4 C with winds picking up.

Thursday

Winds will again be higher on Thursday, making it feel as cold as Monday, despite temperatures sitting at a familiar 7 C.

The rain is not expected to appear then though, despite again being cloudy with sunny spells around midday.

Friday

The final day of the week will start off cold and rainy before abating at around midday.

Wind speeds will decrease and it will feel slightly warmer than before, however it will still feel very cold at a height of 3 C with an actual temperature of 6 C.
