Scunthorpe woman accused of murder admits manslaughter

Malgorzata Pytlak, the Scunthorpe woman accused of murdering Piotr Konior, has admitted to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Ms Pytlak, 45, was arrested and charged after the 35-year-old victim was found seriously injured at his home in Scunthorpe last year.

Paramedics attended the scene and Mr Konior received medical attention but died shortly afterwards.

Five people were arrested on suspicion of his murder.

Four were released on conditional bail and a fifth was released unconditionally.

Ms Pytlak was later charged with murder.

Now, she has appeared at Hull Crown Court, where she pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

The plea was accepted by the prosecution.

Malgorzata Pytlak remains in custody and is set to appear for sentencing in October.

Updates to follow.
