Elderly couple reunited after one year due to COVID-19
An elderly couple from Bolton who have been married for 60 years, have been separated since last February due to visiting restrictions at care homes.

Stanley, 83, and Mavis Harbour, 81, from Bolton, last saw one another on 20 February 2020.
Due to restrictions and government guidelines, since the first lockdown visiting has not been permitted and so Mavis could not visit her husband at his care home.
He had moved to the Lever Edge Care Home in September 2019 because of a deterioration in his dementia.
The loving couple were reunited due to Mavis moving into the home because of her own health issues.
They had to isolate apart for 14 days before the couple could finally be reunited.
Stanley, who gave his wife a bouquet of flowers, said: “I couldn’t believe it when I saw Mavis. It was like a dream.”
Mavis added: “I was very pleased to see Stanley. I’ve missed him so much that I got overwhelmed and just cried.”
“I’m so happy. I never want to be away from him again. I feel lost without him.”
The heartwarming reunion was filmed on camera by care home staff which has circulated across social media.
Lisa Martin, the home’s manager, said: “We were so pleased to reunite Stanley and Mavis.
“There wasn’t a dry eye in the room when she was finally able to see her beloved Stanley again.”
