Our client is a growing and very reputable electrical contractor based in Blackpool. Due to consistent success they are now looking for an experienced electrical buyer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities: As the Buyer your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

ƒ?½ Procure materials, goods, and services from a variety of Electrical suppliers
ƒ?½ To provide general support and administrative assistance in procurement activities
ƒ?½ Register and clear invoices for Procurement Manager
ƒ?½ Source materials and negotiate best price with Suppliers
ƒ?½ Input orders onto IT system
ƒ?½ Expedite goods and materials
ƒ?½ Updating of materials database and discount database
ƒ?½ Promote efficient and professional impression of the business externally
ƒ?½ Match and clear invoices
ƒ?½ To update the IT system for all new suppliers and subcontractors
ƒ?½ Keep good record of purchases
ƒ?½ Cascade all new projects effectively to our supply chain partners
ƒ?½ Update database with pricing and discounts
ƒ?½ Where required manage meetings with company approved suppliers
ƒ?½ Send supplier pre qualifications to new suppliers
ƒ?½ Expedite documentation, invoices and information from the Supply Chain
ƒ?½ Expedite and chase overdue materials
ƒ?½ Input accurate orders into company systems
ƒ?½ Control documentation for supplier contracts
ƒ?½ When required, assist estimating to receive quotations on time
ƒ?½ Communicate and liaise with site to establish best buying practices
