Our client is a growing and very reputable electrical contractor based in Blackpool. Due to consistent success they are now looking for an experienced electrical buyer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Duties & Responsibilities: As the Buyer your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
?½ Procure materials, goods, and services from a variety of Electrical suppliers
?½ To provide general support and administrative assistance in procurement activities
?½ Register and clear invoices for Procurement Manager
?½ Source materials and negotiate best price with Suppliers
?½ Input orders onto IT system
?½ Expedite goods and materials
?½ Updating of materials database and discount database
?½ Promote efficient and professional impression of the business externally
?½ Match and clear invoices
?½ To update the IT system for all new suppliers and subcontractors
?½ Keep good record of purchases
?½ Cascade all new projects effectively to our supply chain partners
?½ Update database with pricing and discounts
?½ Where required manage meetings with company approved suppliers
?½ Send supplier pre qualifications to new suppliers
?½ Expedite documentation, invoices and information from the Supply Chain
?½ Expedite and chase overdue materials
?½ Input accurate orders into company systems
?½ Control documentation for supplier contracts
?½ When required, assist estimating to receive quotations on time
?½ Communicate and liaise with site to establish best buying practices
