We are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager to work for a prestigious manufacturing company located in the Dewsbury, West Yorkshire area.
THE DUTIES:-
Duties will include:
* Managing the manufacturing operaton, its processes and staff.
* Meeting performance objectves including delivery, quality, efficiency, labour & overhead variance.
* Planning manpower and maximisaton of machine capability.
* Leading and developing the continuous improvement and professionalism, thereby guaranteeing operatonal competiveness.
* Be a Leader and facilitator of Contnuous Improvement and Lean initatves and actvites.
* Support the implementaton of new technologies and products.
* Liaise with other functonal / departmental managers regarding operatonal development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operatonal objectves, purposes and achievements (Continuous Improvement/Lean).
* Ensure actvites meet with and integrate with organisatonal requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stpulatons, environmental policies and general duty of care
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:
* Minimum of 2 years management experience leading change and developing teams to meet producton targets.
* Identfying producton process improvements and infuencing Managers to implement improvement changes.
* Working with and improving Company policies and procedures.
* Minimum HNC in an Engineering discipline.
PERSON PROFILE:
* Communicates clearly and concisely at all levels.
* Ability make decisions and infuence the decision making of others.
* Contributes ideas for process, policy & procedure improvement.
* Capable of contributng to team efort as well as working in isolaton without close supervision.
* Ability to lead, and develop a team.
* Computer literate.
THE SHIFT PATTERN:
You will work a 8 hour shift pattern (between the hours of 6am to 10pm) Monday to Friday.
THE PACKAGE:
You will be paid a basic salary of between ¶34,000 and ¶36,000 (depending on experience), plus outstanding benefits.
