An exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a new purpose-built, in-house machine shop producing high precision components.
You will need at least 5 years experience as CNC Turner-Setter operator, have a strong engineering and manufacturing skill set gained in a high quality precision engineering environment. Any further on-the-job training will be provided.
A typical day might include:
ƒ?½ Manufacturing machined components to engineering drawings using
set work instructions and schedules.
ƒ?½ Working to production targets maintaining accurate quality records and
documentation.
ƒ?½ Using manual inspection equipment to perform quality checks using
various engineering and workshop equipment when required.
ƒ?½ Routine maintenance.
The ideal candidate:
ƒ?½ Experienced CNC turner (preferably C, Y & live tooling but not essential)
ƒ?½ Experience with conventional machines milling and turning.
ƒ?½ Ability to set, operate and program a CNC lathe.
ƒ?½ Ability to program and interpret Fanuc controllers with confidence.
ƒ?½ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
ƒ?½ Ability to consistently work to a high level of accuracy
ƒ?½ Ability to read and understand precision measuring equipment.
ƒ?½ Ability to work unsupervised following training.
ƒ?½ Precision engineering experience.
ƒ?½ Able to work in a team.
ƒ?½ Able to meet deadlines.
ƒ?½ Sense of pride in work.
ƒ?½ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
