An exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a new purpose-built, in-house machine shop producing high precision components.
You will need at least 5 years experience as CNC Turner-Setter operator, have a strong engineering and manufacturing skill set gained in a high quality precision engineering environment. Any further on-the-job training will be provided.
A typical day might include:
?½ Manufacturing machined components to engineering drawings using
set work instructions and schedules.
?½ Working to production targets maintaining accurate quality records and
documentation.
?½ Using manual inspection equipment to perform quality checks using
various engineering and workshop equipment when required.
?½ Routine maintenance.
The ideal candidate:
?½ Experienced CNC turner (preferably C, Y & live tooling but not essential)
?½ Experience with conventional machines milling and turning.
?½ Ability to set, operate and program a CNC lathe.
?½ Ability to program and interpret Fanuc controllers with confidence.
?½ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
?½ Ability to consistently work to a high level of accuracy
?½ Ability to read and understand precision measuring equipment.
?½ Ability to work unsupervised following training.
?½ Precision engineering experience.
?½ Able to work in a team.
?½ Able to meet deadlines.
?½ Sense of pride in work.
?½ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
