More about your role

You will work alongside the Regional Managing Director to provide commercially focussed and professional financial advice and management for the regions construction and development activity. You will promote and develop a sound financial strategy for growth of the region through close monitoring of financial performance and by working collaboratively with non-financial staff to achieve strategic and operational financial measures.

You will also undertake financial modelling to appraise the capital and revenue aspects of new development opportunities to guide investment decisions and ensure these meet agreed KPIs and contribute to the long term viability of the business.

Please note: This role requires travel to Preston, estimated to be one day every two weeks.

More about you

For this role you will be a commercially astute Accountant either qualified or qualified by experience with a strong background in the construction sector. You should possess experience of creating and manipulating complex mixed use residential development models. You will be highly IT literate, experience using ProVal, LandVal and Sequel is desirable, although full training will be provided

You should be able to show, at application , where you have used financial information to influence senior leaders to help drive commercial outcomes, as well as strong decision making and prioritisation skills. You will be equally skilled in the production of financial reporting information , finalisation of annual audited financial statements and accounts in addition to appraising opportunities for business development and income generation .

You will also have the ability to build and manage your own team based on the skills that you have recognised are needed. This role is an exciting challenge, where you can really build and develop your own finance function. Proactive candidates who are motivated by development will really succeed in this role.
