Photo update: Doncaster fire rages on

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have released a number of photographs of the scene at South Street in Highfields, Doncaster, as the fire rages on.
 
A crew is still battling the blaze which started this morning, Tuesday 11 August.

Fire crews expect to be on the scene for several hours.
They have already been attempting to extinguish the fire at the former Highfields Miner’s Welfare Club on South Street for four hours now.
Earlier today, a local resident also released the following video footage:

Locals are advised to close their windows and avoid the area while the incident is dealt with.

The cause is currently unknown, although residents believe the fire to have been started deliberately.

One reported that the property has been set alight several times in recent months.\

A conclusion regarding the cause is expected once the fire has been extinguished.

South Yorkshire Fire have five pumps at the scene, which have come from stations at Doncaster, Edlington, Dearne and Parkway.
