McDonald’s breakfast to return

McDonalds have announced that a limited breakfast menu is returning to 1,000 restaurants this week.

The fast food chain has been offering a limited menu since it reopened its doors.

Last week the breakfast menu was reintroduced to a number of stores on a trial run.

Now, it will be rolled out to more than 1,000 restaurants on Wednesday, July 8.

The breakfast menu will be limited with no bagels, wraps or porridge, but there’s still plenty of fan favourites making a return.

Items the menu will consist of include:

  • Bacon Roll
  • Hash Brown
  • Double Sausage and Egg McMuffin
  • Sausage and Egg McMuffin
  • Bacon and Egg McMuffin
  • Egg and Cheese McMuffin
  • Cheesy Bacon Flatbread
  • Pancakes and Sausage
  • Pancakes and Syrup

Hot chocolate is also expected to return to the drinks menu.

In a statement to customers, chief executive officer for McDonald’s UK and Ireland, Paul Pomroy, said:

“As with our main menu, we will have a limited menu at breakfast but we’ve kept the classics – hash browns, McMuffins and pancakes – all return.

“This is because we have fewer people in the kitchen.”

McDonalds is currently open between 11am and 10pm, but it is expected that hours will be extended slightly in some stores.

Customers are advised to check the opening hours at their local store.
