Get your child’s HPV vaccination at new drive-through venues
Thousands of children across the country have missed out on receiving their in-school vaccinations because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The council’s School Nursing service are setting up drive-through vaccine centres across the borough to vaccinate Year 8 students who have missed their jabs.
The vaccine is free to all children and offers protection against Human papillomavirus (HPV).
It helps protect against cancers caused by HPV, including cervical cancer, some mouth and throat (head and neck) cancers, and some cancers of the anal and genital areas.
How to book an appointment
The sessions are by appointment only.
The vaccines are only available to students in Year 8 at school.
To book an appointment, email schoolnursingadvice@nelincs.gov.uk or call 01472 323660.
Once the appointment is arranged, simply turn up, park up and receive your jab.
