17-year-old dies after road traffic collision

A 17-year-old boy has died following a road traffic collision which involved a Mercedes crashing into a tree.

A 19-year old and an 18-year old who were also in the car were injured in the incident.

Lincolnshire Police are investigating the crash which happened on Caistor Road, outside Stainton Le Vale.

The accident occurred at around 10.30pm yesterday, when a Mercedes left the road and collided with a tree.

It is understood that the boy is from Healing, and that he was a backseat passenger in the vehicle.

Emergency services attempted to treat the boy, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Lincolnshire Police are now investigating, and have issued an appeal for information or witnesses.

In a statement released this morning, a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said:

“We received a report of the collision at around 10.34pm on June 3.

“The 17-year-old was a backseat passenger in a Mercedes Benz which left the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

“The driver of the Mercedes, aged 19, and a male passenger, aged 18, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

“We are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact us.”
