Child sustains injuries following collision on Wordsworth Road

Humberside Police are appealing for injuries after a child sustained injuries following a collision on Wordsworth Road, Scunthorpe.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a beige Skoda Octavia car and a young cyclist.

The incident occurred on Saturday 23 May 2020 at around 11.55am.

The cyclist, a 10 year-old boy, was struck by the car and sustained serious injuries.

The driver stopped, helped at the scene.

He is also thought to be assisting the police investigation.

But, officers are also seeking and appealing for any further witnesses to come forward.

The extend of the child’s injuries are unknown, as no further announcements have been made.
