Appeal for witnesses following attack on Police Officer’s car
Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses after damage was caused to a car belonging to a police officer, following a mindless attack.
Damage was caused to the windscreen of a white Peugeot 3008 parked outside the South Box Police Station in Boultham Park Road, Lincoln, during the night of April 19.
Chief Inspector Phil Baker said:
“Our officers along with other emergency workers are supporting the NHS during this uncertain time. They come to work to help protect the residents and support the ‘Stay at Home, Support the NHS and Save Lives’ campaign.
“It is very disheartening that someone has damaged one of our officer’s vehicles while they were on duty offering their support to those who need it. This behaviour is not acceptable at any time.
“Investigations are ongoing and we will be reviewing our evidence to bring the offender to justice.”
Lincolnshire Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact them.
They say they would also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of the area during this time.
If you can assist with the investigation there are a number of ways you can contact the force:
- By emailing force.control@lincs.pnn.police.uk-please remember to put the reference incident 59 of April 20 in the subject box.
