Stars set to air One World: Together At Home concert tonight!

Stars including Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys and The Rolling Stones are set to perform and air a concert titled ‘One World: Together at Home’, in support of frontline workers tackling the Covid-19 crisis worldwide.

More than 100 artists will play live from their homes. The event will also feature stories of nurses and doctors fighting the outbreak.

TV personalities Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon will host the show, which will also feature Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Martin, Pharrell Williams, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Elton John and Paul McCartney.

The event is expected to last eight hours, and is run by the Global Citizen movement and the World Health Organization is being live-streamed and broadcast on TV.

A spokesperson for Global Citizen said:

“We may be apart right now, but coming together has never been more important.”

Funds generated will go towards the Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. But, Lady Gaga, who helped organise the event, has made clear that the show is not a fundraising telethon and will focus on entertainment and messages of solidarity.

The show will begin at 19:00 on Saturday the 18th of April, followed a two-hour TV broadcast at 01:00 on Sunday.

The entire event will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video, Facebook, Instagram, TuneIn, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube; with Apple, Music, Apple TV, and Apple Beats 1 joining for the main show.

Highlights will also be screened on BBC One will between 19:15 and 21:15 BST on Sunday.
