More than 97 percent of Businesses in Lincolnshire are classed as small enterprises.
It is small business Saturday this week and North East Lincolnshire Council is supporting small businesses. By giving a boost to Christmas shoppers this Saturday with free parking on offer in Grimsby and Cleethorpes in order to mark small business Saturday.
Many of North East Lincolnshire Council car parks will be free to use on Saturday as part of the UK wide annual campaign. The aim is to get people to shop locally and also attract more trade to the town centres in the run-up to Christmas. The day was introduced to encourage spending with small independent businesses that employ less than 50 people, and to support local retailers.
Nearly every car park which is operated by the council will be free to use.
The only car parks that will not be free are Cleethorpes Leisure Centre, the boating lake, and Thrunscoe Land.
