Tomorrow is small business Saturday.

Please lend your support to this campaign by having a rethink about where to buy goods and services and support local businesses. You can make a big impact on the local economy and on that small business. If you just spend some of your weekly budgets with a local business.

More than 97 percent of Businesses in Lincolnshire are classed as small enterprises.

It is small business Saturday this week and North East Lincolnshire Council is supporting small businesses. By giving a boost to Christmas shoppers this Saturday with free parking on offer in Grimsby and Cleethorpes in order to mark small business Saturday.

Many of North East Lincolnshire Council car parks will be free to use on Saturday as part of the UK wide annual campaign. The aim is to get people to shop locally and also attract more trade to the town centres in the run-up to Christmas. The day was introduced to encourage spending with small independent businesses that employ less than 50 people, and to support local retailers.

Nearly every car park which is operated by the council will be free to use.

The only car parks that will not be free are Cleethorpes Leisure Centre, the boating lake, and Thrunscoe Land.

Car Parks that will be free to park on Saturday no tickets will be needed for display.

To highlight the campaign shoppers and businesses are being encouraged to include the hashtag #SmallBizSatUK on social media to highlight the campaign.
