Smile! We are all getting happier!
A survey has found that in spite of the Brexit uncertainty it has not stopped most of the country from getting happier. An office for National Statistics found that only Northern Ireland saw higher anxiety levels. Happiness levels in the year to March went up in the UK.
Since the first happiness scores were calculated in 2013 life satisfaction has gone up by 3.4 percent across the country.
Nationwide anxiety levels have fallen by 5.3 percent and in the North West, it has fallen by 10 percent.
The survey did not give an explanation for the sunny ratings but it is thought that economic factors such as record low unemployment rates may have been a factor.
