Fundraising page set up for Grimsby man fighting for his life in Bali.
Reuben Armstrong 27 from Grimsby is fighting for his life after a tragic accident in Bali. He lost control of his motorbike on a tight corner and crashed into a wall. He was not wearing a helmet which is not uncommon in Bali. It is believed that he suffered a fractured skull on his left side which could affect his speech. It is thought that he underwent surgery to stop swelling and bleeding on his brain, and is now in a medically induced coma.
Because he was not wearing a helmet his travel insurance will not cover him. Family and friends and Reubens’s work managed to fundraise the £12,000 needed before they would operate on him. The family has also received another bill for £4,800 and has been told it will cost £1,500 a day to keep him there. A crowdfunding page has been set up by Lincoln Savage at www.justgiving.com to help raise £50,000 to help cover his operation costs, hospital stay and enable his mum to fly out to Bali. Even the smallest amount would be appreciated.
