Fashion chain Bonmarche collapses.
Bonmarche fashion chain has collapsed leaving thousands of jobs at risk. It leaves the stores in Grimsby and Scunthorpe in doubt. Nationwide there are 318 stores and they employ almost 3,000 staff.
The core customers for Bonmarche are customers aged 45 and over the shop is described as catering to mature women. On Friday administrators were bought in after what the store described as persistent challenges facing retail. For Freshney Place Grimsby, and Southgate shopping Mall Scunthorpe losing the stores would be a major blow.
Shops will continue to trade as a buyer is now being sought by the administrators. All stores remain open and there have been no redundancies made.
