Sainburys Delivery Driver Saves A Life!

A heroic delivery driver saved a driver who was trapped inside a burning car.

The incident occurred at around 9pm on Saturday, September 12,

when the van driver witnessed a serious crash on Penitstone Road in Huddersfield.

A BMW had crashed into a lamppost, resulting in the car setting fire and the driver trapped inside.

Due to quick thinking, the Sainbury’s driver attempted to free the driver

whilst using the van’s fire extinguisher to tackle the blaze.

The hero didn’t stop there, running to a nearby pub to grab their own extinguisher to use

before fire crews arrived on scene.

It is known that the man in his 30s had suffered serious injuries,

being taken to Leeds General Infirmary for medical treatment,

however thanks to the help of the brave delivery driver, his injuries aren’t as crucial as they could have been

as they were thought not to be life threatening.
