By Thousands Of Trees To Be Planted In Banbury County Park
In a new Oxfordshire park, plans are to plant thousands of trees in the new woodland area.
By planting 30,000 trees in a new woodland, this will help tackle the area’s carbon footprint
after Charwell District Council declared a climate emergency in July.
All species of tree will be native to England, including
oak, hazel, willow, hawthorn and pine.
Thanks to a partnership with a local distribution company, DCS, the plan has been brought
forward two years.
The company is investing over £40,000 of funding for trees,
with volunteers and the council preparing to plant all 30,000 trees in the coming months.
The park is meant to officially open up in 2022.
