By Police Officer Attacked At Doncaster Royal Infirmary Last Night
A police officer was injured at Doncaster Royal Infirmary last night
when transporting a man detained under the Mental Health Act.
Whilst the awaiting treatment, the man had assaulted one of the officers accompanying him.
Due to the attack, additional resources were dispatched to the scene to prevent further offences
as well as to provide reassurance and office safety.
The man had been moved to a different location to receive treatment.
Fortunately, there is no threat to the wider community.
It is known that the officer had minor injuries and continued to work on duty.
