By Lorry Crash Causes Death- MP Calls For Offender Review
Due to the death of a Barsnley woman who was hit by a stolen lorry,
there have been calls for a review into how offenders are classes and monitored.
The woman who died at the scene of the crash last year was identified as Jacqueline Wileman, 58.
Driver Karn Hill, 23, admitted causing death by dangerous driving,
the three passengers also received long sentences for other offences.
According to Labour MP for Barnsley East, Stephanie Peacock, as the four men in the lorry were not classes as high risk, it could lead to “devastating consequences”.
It is known that they had over 100 conviction between them, with one in the probation system whilst another two had just finished.
