2019/20 Winter Programme
Cleethorpes Cricket Club have announced their Winter Programme and once again it is full of high profile events.
It all gets underway on Friday October 11th with an Evening with Allan Lamb who, in 79 Test appearances for England scored 4656 runs with a further 4010 coming from 122 ODI matches. Lamb has appeared once before at Chichester Road, while playing for Northamptonshire, although his side were heavily defeated within two days. Lamb did however top score in the second innings with a knock of 73.
Following the success of previous “Evenings With” the demand for tickets has been unprecedented, resulting in a virtual sell out for this opening event.
On Friday 1st November the Chichester Road Club will be staging their now renowned Firework Display. This will be a ticket only event (available now from the Club) and promises to be even bigger and better than previous years.
Apart from the tremendous firework display there will be a Children’s Fairground and numerous quality outlets for food and refreshments.
The first Saturday in December will see the Annual Dinner and Presentation Night in the Chichester Road Pavilion followed by the normal organised nights over the Christmas and New Year period.
A second “Evening With” will bring the Winter Programme to a close on 6th March with the appearance of yet another former England player.
Mark Ramprakash, who represented England in 52 Tests Matches, before being appointed National batting coach, will be further remembered for his feat in 2006 when, along with Karen Hardy, he won Strictly Come Dancing.
The former England player will be making his first appearance at Chichester Road before the Cricket Club turn their full attention to a new playing season when they will attempt to regain their position in the Yorkshire ECB Premier League.
