Peaky Blinders inspires some of our most popular baby names.
According to the Office For National Statistics well-loved TV drama, Peaky Blinders may have inspired some of the most popular names in England and Wales.
Arthur is in the top ten of boys names for the first time since the 1920s, and Ada is in the top 100 girls names for the first time in a century. In 2018 more than 5,300 boys were named Peaky Blinders. Every school class is expected to have at least one Peaky by 2023.
The name Alexa has halved in one year maybe because of it being confused with Amazon’s Alexa.
Olivia and Oliver are still at number one, with George and Amelia second. Harry and Ava are in third place. In the North West, Yorkshire, the Humber, the West Midlands, and London More babies were named Muhammad than Oliver.
