By Fill your boots! Grimsby Garden Centre and Muddy Boots pair up
Grimsby Garden Centre have added another retail outlet to their growing facility after teaming up with local eco-friendly crafts store Muddy Boots.
An independent mother-and-daughter team, Muddy Boots specialise in decoupage crafts and a range of botanical products – including herbal teas and gin infusions.
The new store is inside Grimsby Garden Centre and is the second location, with Muddy Boots already thriving on Cambridge Street in Cleethorpes inside the Original Emporium – home to over 20 local independent businesses.
Debra Graham, joint owner of Muddy Boots alongside daughter Katie, said: “We’re so happy to be joining this great team and we’re looking forward to developing the product range further.
“We’ve built a business on a love of recycling and all things natural and we feel that Grimsby Garden Centre and Muddy Boots are the perfect match.”
Muddy Boots’ fabulous Gin Making Kit has been well received by loyal customers and the new partnership will be used to promote Gin Infusion Masterclasses at Grimsby Garden Centre.
Details of these events will follow shortly.
Former BBC Apprentice star Elizabeth McKenna, who has been working alongside the garden centre as an advisor, was full of praise for the local link-up.
She said: “It’s fantastic to see Grimsby Garden Centre acknowledging and collaborating with innovative, environmentally-friendly, up-and-coming businesses like Muddy Boots and I look forward to seeing their products on the shelves.”
NAViGO – a not-for-profit social enterprise that provides NHS mental health services within North East Lincolnshire – runs Grimsby Garden Centre.
The healthcare provider reinvests all profits made by the garden centre back into the upkeep of the facility and local mental health care provision.
Jo Keen, head of employment and commercial services for NAViGO, said: “We were blown away by the creativity and variety in Muddy Boots’ product range and think the brand fits brilliantly into our ethos within both the garden centre and NAViGO as a whole.
“I look forward to working in partnership with the Muddy Boots team.”
The garden centre recently submitted innovative plans to transform the Laceby-based building, including the repurposing of shipping containers to create an independent retail hub.
