Should primary school children be taught about the effects of drugs?

In England and Wales deaths from drugs have hit record levels. Now an ex-addict who goes into primary schools and shows children what the long-lasting effects of drugs have on the body believes that early education is the key.

Do you think this is a great idea or do you think primary age school children 4-11 years is a bit too young to be learning about drugs?  One parent, we spoke to was very positive but her daughter had the talk at secondary school and she said the brutal truth helped her see how wrong it is.

Do you think learning about the danger of drugs should wait until children are at secondary school or do you believe is it never too early to learn about the dangers of drugs?
