Arson is suspected after a huge fire on South Sea Lane.

Arson is suspected after a huge fire took hold at around 5.45pm last night in a field near North Sea Lane as reported live from Grimsby Independent. Huge plumes of smoke could be seen for miles around.

The fire has destroyed a farmers field of around 130-140 acres. Caravans at Thorpe Park and The Beachcomber were evacuated as the fire came dangerously close to holiday homes.

It is believed that this is the third time a fire has been started at the farm. But the farmer managed to control the first two. The fire spread very quickly because of the dry crop and has devasted the owner of the farm and his partner.

There were so many people in cars trying to get a look at the blaze that they hampered the emergency services getting through. Humberside Fire and rescue worked tirelessly to get the blaze under control.  There will be a full fire investigation to find out the exact cause by Humberside Police.
